Lima Observatory
Open space to raise awareness about our city problems and propose ideas to improve based on research-action projects
Back to Research
In the Universidad del Pacífico, the advanced analytics team, which I am part of, we work to improve our city through applied research projects leveraging Urban Data Mining, Advanced Analytics, and Data visualization. Also, one of the main characteristics of our work is that each project is accompanied by scientific research produced in collaboration with international multidisciplinary teams. Furthermore, the team research streams correspond to the building of more sustainable cities/megacities in emerging markets such as Lima, Peru. Also, our projects focus on current problems, without neglecting our systemic and long-term vision for the city. Thus, The Lima Observatory was created because of the necessity to have open spaces that raise awareness of these problems and to encourage collaborations with other research groups and communities.
